Annual Report and Accounts

Surrey Youth Focus produces Annual Reports and Accounts.  For a summary of the audited Report & Accounts 10-11 see here.

We expect to publish the Report & Accounts for the current year 2011-12 in July 2012.

The key theme from the Report and Accounts for 2010-11 relates to our work being innovative and having a high impact.

The Annual Report and Accounts 2.5 full time equivalents in Surrey Youth Focus have focused on two areas ref:

Innovation:

  • Promoting the value of social finance to members and the sector at large – ran workshop at Surrey Community Action’s annual conference and developing four projects as potential candidates for this form of funding,
  • Developed a formal Memorandum of Understanding with Surrey Community Action about closer joint working whilst retaining independent identities
  • Exploring the setting up of a social enterprise with a Woking businessman to provide employment to unemployed young people

 Impact:

  • Assisted 77 fee paying members who in turn worked with 20,000 a week, and 132,000 a year

  • Achieved very high satisfaction levels – 92% members were either Very Satisfied or Satisfied

  • Sent out 12,500 copies of Surrey Youth News in five editions

  • Held events attended by 300 people

  • Had 750 followers on Twitter

  • Had 1,700 readers of the Chief Executive’s blog

  • Ran two training courses attended by 17 youth workers

  • Achieved Pqasso level 1 Award from the Charities Evaluation Service after external assessment of our governance, and management

  • Ended the year with a small surplus of £1,268, and decent reserves- much needed to fund an expected deficit in 2011/12.
