'Surrey Sustainable Community Strategy 2008 - Delivering the vision of Surrey in 2020'
The Surrey Strategic Partnership published a draft document that went out for consultation that concluded in February 2009 for a 'Surrey Sustainable Community Strategy 2008 - Delivering the vision of Surrey in 2020'.
It retains the vision of Surrey in 2020 as being a place where: "In 2020 Surrey will be a county of distinctive, confident, caring, creative and safe communities, in which individuals take responsibility for resolving the challenges that Surrey faces and in which the quality of life is preserved and developed for all."

Surrey Alliance for Children, Young People and Families
A new “Surrey Alliance for Children, Young People and Families” was the subject of a consultation document from Surrey CC. This replaced the current Children and Young people Commissioning Partnership. The proposal also included a revitalised Area structure.
