Surrey County Council Local Member Allowance.

A very straightforward way to start is to approach your local county councilor. Each of the 80 county councilors has approx £12,000 to allocate to community organisations within their area.

Often it is helpful to talk to the Surrey County Council Partnership officer for your area about how to apply.  Once you have done this you can apply via Surrey County Council esuite

Surrey County Council Community Improvements Fund

The Community Improvements Fund was been set up to support local community-based initiatives, which make a real difference to people's lives. The funding is intended primarily to cover capital costs linked to community infrastructure projects

The High Sheriff Youth Awards

The HSYA scheme supports groups of young people who want to help reduce or prevent crime – and make their communities stronger and safer.

Groups can bid for £100 up to £2,000 – and applications are accepted at any time.  Visit www.surreyhighsheriff.org for more information and application forms.

The Community Foundation for Surrey 

The Community Foundation for Surrey manages over 60 funds in Surrey.

Applying for funds is done in two steps – fill out a brief expression of interest form on their website  www.cfsurrey.org.uk or phone them on 01483 409230 for an initial discussion.  If your project fits one of their funding streams, they will then suggest you apply for a grant.

Surrey Young People's Fund

Helping young people gain access to training and employment

The Surrey Young People’s Fund was established in October 2014 and aims to support disadvantaged young people in Surrey to gain access to training and employment. Grants to indivuduals from the Surrey Young People’s Fund will typically be between £50 and £200. In exceptional circumstances, the Fund may consider larger awards, of up to £500.  

St Faith's Trust 


Each year the Trust donates well over £100,000 to projects and good causes that meet the objectives of the Charity.  The Trust likes to support specific projects where there is a clear outcome and/or benefit.
