Historically, Surrey Youth Focus has been in existence since around 1985 under the title of Surrey Council for Voluntary Youth Services (formerly charity no. 1093718).
The name was changed to “Surrey Youth Focus” in April 2009, following a decision to this effect at the 7 October 2008 AGM. That same meeting also resolved that we should embark on the process of becoming a company limited by guarantee, whilst also retaining our charitable status. That process was finally concluded at the AGM on 9 November 2010, and we became an incorporated on 1 April 2011.
We have a dual registration with the Charity Commission (Registered charity No: 1140934) and at Companies House as a Company limited by Guarantee (Registered company no. 7531644)
