The Kit Bag - Games & Activities

The Youth Worker Selection of Games and Activities is designed to equip group leaders with an array of basic activities that build young people’s spirit and develop individuals.

The selection is broken into three sections:

  • ‘Icebreakers’ are a great way of raising energy and letting people get to know one another. Lively snappy activities with lots of physical movement are good ways of breaking down barriers.
  • ‘Team Building’ exercises build on icebreakers, trust and communication exercises in forming the group into a single working unit
  • ‘Reviewing Techniques’ are essential to draw out the development and learning for individuals and are designed to creatively stimulate discussion.
