Please see below an opportunity from Surrey County Council to access free resources – any questions please contact Kate Barry direct on kate.barry@surreycc.gov.uk
Would you like a free resource and help Surrey’s young people?
Over 4,000 young people in Surrey haven’t been able to find work, mostly due to the tough economic climate we find ourselves in.
The fund helps them by giving you money to create short-term, entry-level jobs.
Young people will be short-listed to your vacancy. They will be aged between 18-24 and have a range of skills, some are straight out of school, college or university, they are keen to work and get some experience.
• You don’t need to contribute any of your own funding (unless you want to).
• You choose the successful candidate.
• You don't have to keep them on after the 6 months (unless you want to).
Over 50 grant places have been ring-fenced for community groups, charities and social enterprises. The majority of these still available.
We are very fortunate to have been given this funding and maintain it - many other Future Jobs Funds bids have been cancelled with government budget cuts.
Grant places need to be assigned in the next few months. Please attend one of our briefing events in October 2010.
