What is it?
All over
How do the nominations work?
1. Answer the questions inside the leaflet
2. Fill out the form on the back of the nominations leaflet (this can be submitted online or by post)
3. Once everything’s completed, send it all back to NCVYS before the deadline of Friday 18 September
What happens next?
If you are short-listed for the award we will contact you to arrange a visit. This visit will be carried out by the young people who make up the awards team and will take place during October and November. Short-listed organisations will be invited to an awards ceremony taking place in early December where the winners will be announced.
How are young people involved?
Young people are involved in every aspect of the planning and the organising of the award. The planning group have developed the criteria for the award, designed the publicity, are responsible for short-listing the nominations, visiting the short-listed organisations, and making the final decision on who the winners are.
“Through the YPA I meet lots of new people. I get a lot of say in how the event should be run and I’ve also learnt about lots of different youth organisations”
Victoria McCarthy, 13. YPA planning group member
Spread the Word
Why not spread the word and give your members and other organisations the chance to display their achievements. If you work with any other organisations or projects in the voluntary and community sector that involve young people, get in touch and give them the chance to win prizes and demonstrate their work.
We look forward to hearing about your inspiring, innovative and involving organisations and projects!
