FPM Management Development Training for Youth Work Managers:
The Childrens Workforce Development Council (CWDC – a Government quango) has retained FPM ( a national youth work training organisation ) to deliver a national training programme to all those working with young people across the sectors. The Management Development Programme is now being rolled out to Surrey. There are a total of 105 places on the forthcoming courses which are held in three Modules. The courses are free, and are highly regarded, and several will run during 2010, until the 105 target number is reached. Details of the course are here.
The course is aimed all frontline managers working within the youth workforce footprint in the public and third sectors. CWDC’s guidance on this footprint includes the following staff:

Participants should be able to attend all three Modules, and be prepared to do pre- course work. We don’t know the venue as yet, but it is likely to be one of Surrey ’s much used hotels.

Places are confined to the 20 max which is for both the voluntary and public sector ( the voluntary sector has about half these places). Requests for places will be dealt with on a first come first served basis; any unsuccessful bids will be first in the queue for subsequent courses. All respondents will receive replies , whether successful or unsuccessful. The closing date for bids is 30 September, but you will need to get in quickly to get a place on this first course.
