Surrey Youth Consortium

Surrey Youth Consortium is a joint venture of voluntary organisations delivering co-ordinated, well-planned and high-quality services to improve the lives of children, young people and their families in all areas of Surrey. The vision is “To improve the lives of children, young people and their families so that they thrive within their communities.” Surrey Youth Consortium offers: 

  • An extensive range and reach of high-quality services
  • A one-stop solution, helping to simplify contracting and provision for the public sector
  • Locally sensitive services
  • Outstanding value for money

 

In 2009 the members held contracts from the statutory sector worth over £3.1 m and secured over £1.35 m in complementary funding from other sources. Each year, the members work with over 23,000 young people, utilising over 54,000 hours of volunteer work, which is equivalent to more than 38 full-time workers.

Surrey Youth Consortium is strongly committed to working in partnership across all sectors. Membership of the Surrey Youth Consortium as at May 2010 is: The Eikon Charity; Guildford YMCA; The Matrix Trust; Learning Space; Lifetrain; Reigate and Redhill YMCA; Surrey Clubs for Young People; Surrey Care Trust; Woking YMCA. Each member has nominated a Director to the board of the Consortium joint venture company. Membership enquiries are welcome.
